The Challenge
The main challenge was handling the delivery and offloading of seven large and heavy sectional doors. The Solution
BGS carried out a site visit before installation to plan how the doors would be delivered, offloaded, and stored safely. During this visit, the engineers identified suitable areas for temporary storage and agreed the best lifting method for the doors. They also worked with Scania to set a clear sequence of works, ensuring that only one bay was affected at any point. This allowed the installation to be completed safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption. In the end, all seven sectional overhead doors were successfully installed, with minimal disruption to depot operations.
