Introducing Our New Birmingham Depot Manager: Jonny Bainton

As our Birmingham depot manager, Jonny will be responsible for the daily running of the depot, managing our skilled engineers, and handling customer queries. This responsibility is something that Jonny enjoys, as he’s able to provide our staff with valuable support and useful advice, thanks to his past experiences with the company.

Jonny believes that in his short time back with the company, he’s already made strides at the Birmingham depot, offering a greater level of support to our engineers and driving them to succeed. Following principles of honesty and clear communication, he is prioritising the customer experience and ensuring that all clients are left wholly satisfied with the service they receive.

On being with BGS, Jonny says that the company is great for those who want a healthy balance between work and private life. He goes on to say that “with depots around the country, this means less travel and more jobs completed in a day”, which allows him and his engineers to maximise their time.

While Jonny says that every day is challenging, he tells us that this is what drives him forward to be better and learn more. “All challenges can be overcome with the correct attitude and determination, along with support from senior management like Andy Hughes.” Improving the Birmingham depot and creating success for BGS is what motivates him to push forward.

We asked Jonny what advice he would give to someone finding their way in the industry, to which he said, “If you learn and listen, you will make it happen.” Having previously worked as a fitter’s mate, Jonny knows what it takes to develop skills and broaden his knowledge whilst working in the industry.
