I just wanted to say how impressed we were with the service we received. I only raised the call out in the morning, and someone was on site by the afternoon. A lot of my job is spent chasing people, so we’re not used to things happening that quickly; the site manager was very happy!


Peter did an excellent job getting the disabled door working by retrofitting new equipment onto it. It’s working exactly the way it was before, with all the correct interlocks for safety and fire alarm integration. He worked until late last night and called me, as I requested, around 20:30 to provide an update. I was really impressed with his attitude in getting the job done! It’s very easy to criticise engineers for not doing a good job, but we should also praise them when they do great work. So, please let Peter know he is a credit to you, and so is Steve Fish. Phil & Steve completed the task safely and professionally. A site induction was completed, and a safety briefing was held before work began. Work was carried out safely and to a high standard, and site rules were always followed. An end-of-task briefing was given with an explanation of findings and recommendations for improvements. Biffa Teesside will retain the services of BGS for all work on on-site roller shutter doors.

On Friday, when a very aggressive DHL driver became threatening, and I couldn’t free his truck from the barrier, you came straight around to help me. I just wanted to contact you to let you know what excellent service Rob Overend gave to our company. We had an electric gate installed in 2019 and had nothing but trouble. Rob took on our case and managed to turn the situation around from one to a situation where we were kept in the loop on a regular basis until the matter was finally resolved.

I have to say how refreshing it was to talk to a real person who didn’t always give us the answers we wanted to hear but always came back to us in a frank and honest manner. So often we, as customers, want to complain but, in this instance, we felt that his seniors should be aware of the exemplary way in which he conducted himself.

I hope, for the sake of BGS services, that he stays with your company for a very long time.

Just to let you know that Peter from BGS attended the branch this morning.

Absolutely delighted to say that (it appears), we have working syphon doors……they just need to pass the 48hr test to say for sure!!

We await replacement of the condemned door as it is a temporary fix, but for now I cannot thank Pete enough for his common sense approach, he looked at all the faults thoroughly, and methodically worked his way through them, with good humour and professionalism.

This is just a quick email to express our thanks for the Roller Door that has been installed on our new office building, especially in the current climate. The guys have done an excellent job and it is ideal for what we need.

Really appreciate your prompt response to getting Jimmy on site this evening.

We have not managed to rectify the issue this evening. We will wait for a full report before moving forward with this and look for a long term resolution to this issue. We will need this as soon as possible. Jimmy really put in a great effort tonight to get this rectified, and it would be great for him to get the positive feedback from this callout as it is not often that engineers arrive to site last minute on a Friday and do everything they can to rectify the fault.


Just a quick comment from my side. The Engineers Levi and Nick were thoroughly professional from Start to Finish, the standard of work was great, and they were extremely helpful on site and co-operative.

What a charming, professional and knowledgeable chap. I was helping him all day in the scissor lift (all Covid precautions were observed) and I was very impressed by him and his conscientious approach to the work. We find ourselves in a quite extraordinary situation, whereby we are collectively responding to the challenges posed by Coronavirus pandemic whilst still providing essential services to our customers.
However, I am very pleased to be able to announce that North Tyneside Council ‘s Housing Property and Construction Service has passed two important safety milestones recently.
We have:

Achieved 1 million hours of work without a RIDDOR accident being recorded
Achieved a full calendar year, to the end of October 2020, without a RIDDOR accident being recorded.

We could not have achieved any of this without your help. Your professionalism, dedication, and willingness to help in the most challenging circumstances, is a testament to you, your company and all your employees. We rely on you to provide us with the expertise we need, and you have not let us down.

Just a quick message to express my sincere gratitude for your response, whilst we are not an account holder your engineer arrived around 8.00AM and has resolved the issues. Just wanted to pass my thanks on for a job well done at Roberts Road, EMD. My engineer Craig Barlow noted the engineers from BGS went above and beyond to complete the works today and was very impressed with both their attitude and skill level.

I would just like to say how happy I am with the service from Raihmel at Chapelfied East. We have had a constant issue at this property which resulted in numerous call outs and angry Residents but still went undetected from previous Contractors used. Raihmel attended for the 1st time last week (very promptly I must say) and found the fault straight away. Again thank you for your very satisfactory service to Watsons.


The engineer did a great job today and he did give us the impression that we have made a good choice of starting working with BGSs Services.

Chris the engineer who attended today to rectify issues with the large folding gate. Carried out a fantastic job, he was effective, efficient, friendly and helpful. For the first time since the gates have been in use since May 16 I have now witnessed the gates to close really smoothly and quietly. He really took the time to make sure the job was done right with the best possible outcome. He is a credit to your company, Thank you for sending him here today.


I would just like to pass on our praise and appreciation for Jonny and the service we received from BGS last Friday. As I explained to Barry we have struggled to have all of our auto/high speed door needs met on site. On Friday we had Jonny attend site to fix ‘A’ high speed door and by the time he left site he had 4 doors up and running for us! We have never been able to achieve this with any of the door contractors used in the past and a lot of that comes down to Jonny’s attitude and professionalism. Each time I asked him about another door he was always keen and enthusiastic to crack on and get it going, the last time was as he was driving off site but he still parked up and came back in to look at the door. The engineering team from Accord that we work on behalf of were very impressed by the work carried out and the fact that he didn’t look at a door step back and say its going to cost ‘X’ amount and take several weeks for parts etc. As discussed with Barry that they are keen to have BGS carryout other work on normal auto doors as they are happy in the knowledge it will get fixed. Once again thankyou and all involved are more than happy to work together going forward.


We appreciate BGS’s continued support, our Technical Manager now Director has been delighted with the communication and work to date.

Just wanted to drop you guys both a note to thank you for your help on all of our recent collaborations. The call out last night was dealt with seamlessly at every stage and I can’t commend you both highly enough for your assistance. Having had some serious issues with suppliers over the last few years it is a massive relief to know that I have a top, reliable contractor that we can turn to in this region. Our other regions still struggle with suppliers however, they are not my region so I don’t care about them!

Unfortunately our hands are tied when it comes to issuing the service contracts for this account and we can’t use our preferred suppliers which would undoubtedly be yourselves and should the opportunity to do so arise, we will do so. Having said that, please rest assured, all remedials raised from any servicing on doors, dock levellers and gates will come to you guys. Thanks for your help.


Just want to say the men who fitted the Kitchen Shutter at Scalby were very good. They cleaned up with no mess left – you couldn’t tell they had been. They have said they think someone is coming to put trim round if needed down the side. Well mine is as only just had it decorated this year.

Just a quick email to thank you both for the service that your guys have given us over the past couple of weeks, Davie and Stewart who managed to repair our speed door in challenging conditions with high winds and blizzard conditions. Also today with Davie again and Robert this time, who have managed to save one of our internal doors from the skip with a sound and robust solution of re-securing the door back into its position. Just like to pass on my gratitude for a stellar service from yourselves, no doubt there will be plenty more call outs in the near future.


Thanks to BGS for their help yesterday. The main access control door stopped working which would mean we either couldn’t get tenants into the building or it would be left unsecured. The guys stayed all day to come up with a solution which has meant its now working perfectly.


Just wanted to take the time to say that the guy who came to repair the door number 7 was very professional and had a good attitude and stayed on until the job was done and never gave up even with a 2.5 hour drive ahead of him. He effected a temporary repair with a little assistance from us but the door will require repairing properly shortly.

The first thing to consider is the response from BGS, i called them on Wednesday once i reviewed the information that had been given our contract as tier 1 supplier, The same day i received all their RAMS and good communication.The following day they attend to carry out a site audit , Very good response from them all around.The price quoted seems very reasonable from my point of view as our existing supplier were very expensive whatever they did for us. Then the cost of a scissor lift was added to every job!
We would have to wait far too long for our existing supplier to attend also, Luckily for Veolia Stoke BGS have a depot in Stoke, which is a win win for us.


Just to deliver some much needed praise for your Engineer Robert this morning, I could relate to him being an Electrician myself & together we have resolved the gate issues we have had the gate is now working correctly & this has thankfully stopped quite a bit of pressure for myself.
