At BGS, we have been in the business of installing, fixing, servicing, and maintaining doors and shutters for more than 30 years.
Through our dedication to our customers and commitment to providing exemplary service, our reputation has only continued to go from strength to strength. Today, we are widely regarded as the go-to specialists for all commercial and industrial doors and shutters. We supply and install a wide range of products to fit the needs of all our customers.
We’re always here to help and answer questions. Call us on 08009178583.
Our team are on call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, so even if you encounter a problem with your doors at 3 AM on Christmas Day, help is just a call away. We operate out of a nationwide network of depots, so when you call, we aim to be with you in 4 hours or less. Our entire team is clear with safety, and thanks to our mobile workshops, we can tackle virtually any challenge your equipment creates.
Our vast experience has proven most repair jobs can be completed during the first visit, however if we need to order additional parts, we will always ensure your doors are secured, and a safe temporary fix is put in place.
We offer maintenance and repair plans that are entirely bespoke, so whatever your needs, you can be confident of receiving the right service for the best price. All work is carried out by our fully qualified, vetted, and certified team to the highest standards. This has earned us recognition from the likes of CHAS, SMAS, Safecontractor, and ADI to name a few.
Whether customers are enquiring about a door replacement, interested in a servicing plan, looking to upgrade their existing doors or something else entirely, BGS has it covered.
Here at BGS, we’re committed to ensuring that our engineers are trained correctly. Our employees are the lifeforce of our business, so we go to great lengths to ensure they’re working safely.

Our primary focus at BGS is ensuring that the people who work for us receive the proper training to ensure that they are always working safely.
The purpose of the Fitter’s Tour is to focus on health and safety, and teaching how to identify and eliminate risk in the workplace. We prioritise training our engineers best practices to keep them safe; we can replace a vehicle or door, but we cannot replace an engineer.
The Fitter’s Tour was conducted by members of senior management who travelled across the UK, from Plymouth to Aberdeen. The 2021 tour lasted around half a year and included (COVID-safe) face-to-face talks. The benefit of this hands-on approach is that it was more personal and engaging for the engineers.
Alongside these talks, vehicle audits were carried out at random which covered the condition of the van and internal checks ensuring that all power tools were fully functional and that the first aid kit and fire extinguisher are easily accessible and in date.
Following on from the incredible success of the Fitter’s Tour 2021, we eagerly await the next tour, scheduled for the end of Q2 (June). We intend to revamp the tour, by continuing to develop our health and safety training and renaming the tour the ‘Engineer’s Conference’. This ensures that the content remains fresh and relevant and that the engineers continue being taken to the next level.
